m p I have been working as a freelance translator and interpreter since 2001. I am a native German,  but English has become like a second mother tongue for me after spending five years studying  psychology at an international university in the U.S., Australia, Norway and Eastern Europe.  Other cultures have always fascinated me. Working as a translator and intepreter therefore  became my profession of choice. I received my training as a state-certified translator and  interpreter at the  Institute for Foreign Langues and Culture (IFA) in Erlangen, Germany,  specializing in the fields of law as well as humanities and the arts. Since then, I have been working part-time as a teacher at  said institute, training future translators and interpreters. I became a member of the German association of translators and  interpreters BDÜ in 2008.  My philosophy: Fast, reliable, professional. As my client, you can be sure to receive a correct, high-quality translation - on schedule and at a  fair price.  Bridging the gap between languages and cultures: to me, being a language professional is not just about transferring mere  content from one language into another. Cultural differences also have to be taken into consideration in order for a  translation to be comprehensible to the recipient.   michel-uebersetzungen.de m u deutsch english profile home pricing profile contact site notice services
